GLOW Gatherings &Location:
First Presbyterian Church 28 East Park Ave Columbiana, OH 44408 Program Requirements: Must reside in Columbiana County Be a female in 5th through 12th grade *Free & No Prior Registration Required Upcoming Gatherings: 1st Thursday & 3rd Monday of the Month 6:00 pm- 8:00 pm October 3rd & 21st November 7th & 18th December 5th & 16th - Parents are invited to join for Cookie Decorating January 2nd & 20th February 6th & 17th - Parents are invited to join annual Un-Birthday Party March 6th & 17th April 3rd & 14th May 1st & 19th An Evening at GLOW Includes: Activity or Game to move our bodies (Ex. Dance Party, Running Tic, Tac, Toe, & Minute-To-Win-It games) Daily Affirmations Mini Lesson (We're focusing on mental health through self-care this year) Journal Choice of Art & Craft or Games |

What is GLOW?About Us: GLOW is a free program developed for Columbiana County girls entering 5th-12th. Primary Objective & Goals: We are a pregnancy prevention program that aims to increase girls' sense of self-esteem, reliance, and expression to encourage investment in their personal development and goals. We believe girls who know themselves, believe in themselves, and can express what they want make safer and healthier choices. Through: Hands on activities, education, mentorship, group discussion, journaling, art & crafts, and games. Outcome: Over the last 3 years we've seen a 70% rate of effectiveness. Meaning 70% of girls self-reported that their self-esteem and self-confidence improved as a by product of their participation in GLOW. |
