$200,000 in damages
At the end of 2023 we discovered major structural damage under the floor of our main location in Columbiana. We were forced to close our doors for two months to completely remove the entire 9,000 sq ft of flooring as well as the food pantry walls. The demolition included a complete mold remediation phase with HEPA air scrubbing. The newly installed floor is concrete with a glossy epoxy finish. As the only food pantry remaining in Columbiana and serving over 1,000 people per month with food, hygiene and discount clothing, it was critical that we make the repairs as fast as possible. We have an ongoing fundraising campaign to pay for the cost of these necessary repairs.
