Continued Commitment
The needs of the village of East Palestine are ever evolving due to the train derailment crisis. However, The Way Station will continue to serve them constantly and for the long term with the ability to adjust as needed over the years with our focus on:
- Expansion of services that provide for food, clothing, diapers and basic necessities.
- Necessary support staff for our programs mentoring individuals and families to build resources, have self-sufficiency and create sustainability.
- Creation and investment in youth programming, including athletics at all age levels.
- Filling in the gaps in the community through action, networking, collaboration and stewarding resources for those who need them most.
Initial Response
The Way Station has responded to the crisis in East Palestine by providing food, clothing, water, hygiene products, diapers, cleaning supplies and gift cards to those in need. We do not anticipate their need to end anytime soon, but it will begin to change over time and we will continue to provide for them what they need, when they need it.
We are honored to accept monetary donations to purchase water, air & water purification systems and fund future projects as deemed necessary by the residents of East Palestine. Donations should be mailed to The Way Station, Po Box 449, Columbiana OH. 44408 or by using the Donate Here button. At this time we respectfully request that you contact us to determine the current need prior to hosting a water or supply drive. We thank you for your generosity and ask that you continue to pray for our friends and neighbors effected by this tragedy.
